Our Methods
Our teaching methods are based on the principle of Total Physical Response, (TPR), using songs, games and fun activities to promote learning in a low-stress environment. TPR simultaneously activates both the right and left sides of the brain which enhances memory retention.
phonics
Since teaching the children to read is a high priority, we use a phonics-based approach. Teach the World to Read has donated a license to us for their comprehensive phonics program. Recently, a volunteer to Hands in Hands brought a supplementary phonics program called SIPPS Collaborative Classroom for our use.
